Just another sunny Sunday

This week off work has been a hoot, I've done plenty of motorcycling related activity and a bit of riding, but nothing beats putting the final touches on a project and looking up to find a perfectly sunny day for a ride to test that new project out.

Immersion: everything motorcycles

I’ve had a whole week off of work, thanks to Easter, public holidays combined with three days annual leave, making it ten in a row.

Why I won't buy another Ducati with a keyless ignition

I've got a bone to pick with you Ducati. If there is one thing you do wrong, it is this. Keyless ignition. I just don't get it. A bike needs a key.

It's the one sole thing that dampens my spirit about the Multistrada. I've lost one key. It was a horrible experience. Luckily I had been told about the PIN emergency start feature or I would have been forked.

Tools and a shed: a moto spiritual awakening

I’ve always touted that I am a mechanical luddite. Don’t give me a wrench and ask me to fix something without expecting also expecting to have to fix something later on.

Truth is, I’ve never been interested in working on motorcycles before.

Final stage DRZ 400 makeover: Yoshimura RS-4

This has been a long time coming. I originally ordered it in Feb and it's now April, but it's been worth the wait.

It was custom fabricated for me by Yoshimura in Japan so that makes it special.

Arai Dual Sport XD 4 helmet long term review

I’ve had a dual sport Arai XD 4 for around two years now, I bought one at the  time when I was riding a Hypermotard. We got a good discount, so save your bobbsie twins remarks for someone else :D

KTM 1290 Super Duke R first impressions

When I saw this online I immediately signed up. Going in store at Peter Stevens in the city is nothing but a hard core sales pitch so I was glad I could just enter some details and sign up online for a test ride.

It's been on my radar for months, no demo bike in site until, finally KTM produced the goods! So here are my first my first impressions of the KTM 1290 Super Duke R
